Moderate visual impairment, able to see approximately one metre.

NS2 skiers have a field of view constricted to a radius of less than ten degrees and/or the ability to recognise a moving object at a maximum of one metre.

They can opt to use a guide who skier who gives directions via headset around the course.

Generally, visually impaired cross-country skiers all race together as NS1-3 using a factored timing system, which alters the running speed of the clock.
