Grade 1


Movement or coordination moderately affected throughout the whole body.

Moderately affected movement in the shoulders and arms and highly affected from the chest down in the trunk and in the legs.

Movement or coordination highly affected throughout the whole body.

Movement and coordination affected to a high degree on one side of the body, one arm and both legs.

Absence of legs and one forearm.

 


Grade 1 riders have moderately affected coordination, highly affected movement in the body, arms and legs, or the absence of limbs.

These riders may have balance problems. They perform a walk-only test including large circles with no sharp turns.


 Equestrian Grade 1 is a competition class at the Paris 2024 Paralympics
