Movement or coordination affected in the legs to a moderate degree.

Absence of legs from mid-thigh.

Absence of both legs; one from the knee and one just below the hip.

 


LW1 skiers have movement affected moderately in both legs or the absence of both legs above the knee.

Most skiers in this class will use two skis and two outriggers (mini skis on poles) for balance.

Generally, standing skiers all race together as LW1-9 using a factored timing system.
