LW12-1 skiers have little movement available in the legs but have good sitting balance.

These skiers are able to balance without using their outriggers, can twist to drive harder, faster turns and are able to absorb bumps well.

Generally, sitting skiers all race together as LW10-12 using a factored timing system.
